Why Choose Us?

We all know sleep is vitally important, which is why it can be a source of anxiety and stress for parents struggling to teach their sons and daughters how to have independent sleeping skills. Together, we can help your little one learn how to sleep through the night. As a baby and a child sleep consultant and coach certified through Dana Obleman's Sleep Sense program, I can create a plan specially-designed for your family's unique needs. What's more, I provide one-on-one support, coming alongside you on your journey to peaceful, restful nights that benefit your entire family.

What is Our approach?

The program I design for you is based on your child's age, personality and sleeping habits, as well as you and your family's routine and needs. The combination of a customised step-by-step sleep plan and nurturing, understanding support, ensures your child receives the tools he needs to sleep on his own in order to benefit from a full, restorative night's sleep — something little bodies and minds must have to be healthy, alert, energetic, and ready to explore and learn! What's more, knowing your little one is sleeping peacefully in her bed allows you to fully enjoy the benefits of a good night's sleep, from more patience and clarity, to increase energy and greater well-being.

What is Our mission?

At Simply Sleepy, its our mission to compassionately educate, support and coach sleep-deprived parents to help them and their little ones get the sleep they need 'n order to live healthy, well- rested and happy lives. We believe wholeheartedly that sleep is not only a key ingredient to health and happiness, but is also vital to creating a healthy parent-child relationship.

I am a certified Sleep Sense™ consultant.

The Sleep Sense™ Method was created out of a strong belief that healthy sleep habits make for healthy children. A well-rested child is curious, energetic, happy, playful, and eager to learn. Sleep Sense™ is a proven way of helping children sleep better and it has supported over 80,000 families around the world in establishing healthy sleep habits for their children.

Sleeping children make for healthy parents. When parents entrust me as their child’s “sleep guide,” either through one-on-one consultations or seminars, they are placing a great deal of trust in me, and I want to let you know that I take this responsibility very seriously. While most books and programs dealing with child sleep issues take philosophical stands (based largely around the issue of “crying it out”), I believe that your child’s sleep is more important than my personal views on this subject. That’s why the Sleep Sense™ Method places so much emphasis on accommodating different parenting styles. The bottom line is that you, as a parent, need to be comfortable with your new sleep plan in order for it to work for your child.

My approach to improving your child’s sleep is pretty simple:

  • I’ll give you honest information about WHY sleep is so important for your child’s well-being. (This will give you all the motivation you need to make changes to your child’s sleep habits).

  • I’ll lay out an easy-to-follow, step-by-step plan that lets you make some choices about what is the right approach for your child. (All children are different, and nobody knows your child better than you do. I encourage you to use your knowledge of your child to customize his or her sleep plan.)

  • I’ll show you how to measure success. (No, you shouldn’t expect your child to sleep 12 uninterrupted hours on the first night — although it does happen! I’ll tell you what you should expect along the way).

A little note about the “crying” question:

Since people always ask me about whether my solutions involve “crying it out,” I think it’s something that deserves to be addressed here.

Crying is your child’s way of protesting change, and you can expect that making changes to their sleep habits will result in some protest. That’s why I’m always sure to tell parents that my program will most likely involve at least some amount of protest on the child’s part.

Please understand that I will never ask you to leave your child to cry alone, nor will I ask you to ignore their cries. The reason that the Sleep Sense™ Method is so effective is that it lets you develop a plan that you feel comfortable with, based on what you know about your child.

The Sleep Sense™ program offers a quick, gentle solution for your child. Investing in a sleep consultant gives you a personalized plan and one-on-one attention.
